Another Monday.
The weekend is over, and it's back to the grind. I hope all of you had a relaxing weekend!
To start this Monday off on a bright note, I wanted to share a few fun finds with you.
ONE: A Selfie of Jackie O.
I stumbled across this gem while perusing HuffPost over the weekend. Who knew selfies had made an appearance long before the dawn of the iPhone. In this 1960s photo, Jackie poses with JFK and Ethel Kennedy, looking classy as usual. I love those high waisted shorts!
TWO: Milk and Cookie Shots
Dominique Ansel, the NYC pastry chef and bakery owner behind the cronut craze (I still MUST try one!), has debuted yet another unique sweet treat. His "Milk and Cookie Shots" were available at Austin's SXSW music festival this past weekend. The idea is simple, yet genius: a "glass" made of chocolate chip cookie, filled with organic milk. Ansel said he came up with the idea after trying his first Oreo a few weeks back. Needless to say, I am now in pursuit of both of Ansel's unique creations. Looks like I need to get to NYC ASAP.
THREE: J.Crew New Arrivals
When I saw a post on J.Crew's Facebook page announcing new arrivals, I naturally clicked on over right away. The spring collection is filled with unique prints, a bright cobalt blue, and so many cute pairs of cropped pants (see above!). Now I just wait for a sale!

FOUR: State Champions
My alma mater, Central Catholic High School, played in the 2A state basketball championships this weekend and won! I am beyond proud! The game went into TRIPLE overtime, but the boys fought hard and came out on top. Their victory came after beating the number one, two, and three ranked teams during post-season play. I wish I could have been there to watch the game last night, but you can be sure I was cheering from Columbia. Congrats boys and GO SAINTS!
FIVE: Spring Break is Almost Here!
While many of my friends at other universities were on spring break last week, Miz doesn't go on spring break until this Friday. I'm counting down the days until I head home to pack for a week-long vacation in Newport Beach, California with my family. I haven't been to California since I was two years old, so I am so excited to get back to the West Coast. I'm looking forward to a week of biking, hiking, shopping, dining, and lying by the pool, but most of all just spending time with my family! I also can't wait to pull out my spring clothes that have been tucked away in the back of my closet! (I've been lost without my Jack Rogers and chinos!)
